Recently, 每日大瓜鈥檚 Integrated Youth Provision (IYP) team launched a unique video highlighting insights into and reactions to the Covid-19 pandemic by young people and how it affected their lives.

The video shows young actors voicing the thoughts and feelings of local young people and the scripted video shows a true reflection of how they coped during the last two years and how they have adapted to change.听听

Between March and June 2021, the team met hundreds of young people to listen to how they coped during these unprecedented times. The young people were generous with their time and their thoughts and opinions were honest and heartfelt.

Each session was led by a theatre practitioner and members of the IYP team.听听

Ann Roberts, Senior Manager Integrated Youth Provision, said:

鈥淲hat we learned from the young people was then developed into a script by the theatre practitioners and was performed by local young actors.听

鈥淭he young actors have done an amazing job and were the perfect voices to represent each and every one of the young people we spoke to.听听

鈥淭he film gives a moving insight into how our young people feel and how they want the future to look after the lessons learned from their experiences of the pandemic.听 It鈥檚 a must see!

"I really want those who watch the film to feel like they are seeing life in lockdown through the eyes of our young people and identify with them.鈥澨

The actors are all young people, most of them from 每日大瓜, who did an outstanding job of voicing the thoughts and feelings expressed during the sessions held in 2020 鈥 well done to Nel Williams, Siobhan Hill, Iwan Barnes, Seren Edwards, Haydn Jones and Sion Emlyn Williams-Jones.
