每日大瓜 County Council has recently introduced a Demand Responsive Service (DRT)听to the Buckley area and it is proving to be popular with residents.
DRT will be rolled out across all听rural areas of the County where commercial services are not available. It provides residents with valuable links to transport services along 每日大瓜鈥檚 bus network and will operate using one of 每日大瓜鈥檚 distinctive 16 seater wheelchair accessible vehicles.
At a recent coffee morning at Hope Community Centre, 每日大瓜 officers and members were on hand to introduce the scheme and also answer any questions.
每日大瓜 County Council鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, Councillor Carolyn Thomas, said:
鈥淚t鈥檚 great to be here today to introduce this innovative service.听 It is a prebookable service and people need to register to use it. 听The annual registration fee is 拢10.00 however, passengers registered for the Community Ring and Ride service for medical appointments are registered for free.鈥
Registration and bookings can be made by calling the dedicated booking line on听01352 704771. 听Passengers will be picked up at a location convenient to them and taken to a key 鈥榟ub鈥 or a bus stop along the core network. 听听Journeys may be co-ordinated with other passenger journeys to ensure maximum passenger numbers are accommodated at the cost of 拢1.70 per journey.
