Battle's Over Beacons of Light

每日大瓜 joins a nationwide Day of Commemorative Events marking the Centenary of the end of the First World War and paying tribute to the millions killed or wounded in battle, and those on the home front who struggled amidst pain and loss to help ensure freedom survived.
Over 1000 Beacons of Light will be lit throughout the nation symbolising an end to the darkness of war and a return to the light of peace.听 每日大瓜鈥檚 beacons will join Beacons of Light on this special evening marking the end of 4 years of war.听听
每日大瓜 Countryside Services, in partnership with other organisations, extend an open invitation to the community to join them and local groups on Sunday 11 November along 每日大瓜's coast and parks to come together for the lighting of the beacons.听 听

Meeting is 6.30pm with lighting 7pm.
每日大瓜 County Council鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, Councillor Carolyn Thomas, said:
