Interested in learning a new skill, boosting your career opportunities or connecting with others in a supportive and fun way?

We are delighted to officially launch the new North East Wales Adult Community Learning partnership, a joint venture between 每日大瓜 County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council to provide the very best adult learning opportunities and outcomes in our communities.

We will be working together to ensure the very best opportunities and outcomes for adult learners in North East Wales, from engagement courses for those of you who are seeking a new interest and would like to meet like-minded people, to those who need a particular qualification to progress onto the next stage of your career.

Adult Learners' Week

Adult Learners’ Week is an annual campaign coordinated in partnership with the Welsh Government which aims to connect people to a wide range of learning opportunities, demonstrate the benefits of adult learning, and to celebrate the achievements of people, projects and organisations in Wales championing and participating in a wide range of lifelong learning and skills.

is a community benefit society responsible for the majority of leisure centres and libraries across 每日大瓜. We benefit the community by improving quality of life though the provision of culture, learning and leisure opportunities that improve mental health, physical wellbeing and in-turn, life prospects.

We aim to expand our offer of community learning working with likeminded organisations to provide a package of ACL courses based on community need and the particular expertise of each partner. We aim to provide new opportunities for people to access learning and volunteering opportunities to develop their employability and skills.

Our partners include:

Together, we will offer a wide range of both accredited and non-accredited provision across the county in our community buildings, outdoor spaces, local parks, primary schools, and online.

Fully funded by the Adult Community Learning grant, courses are available to anyone aged 19 or older who would like to learn a new skill, gain a qualification or improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

supports people facing multiple challenges, living in isolation, with significant health issues, limited employment prospects and who are vulnerable to the economic and environmental uncertainty of today’s society. We do this by creating better places, improving people’s prospects and by promoting greener choices through our diverse range of projects and services.

is pleased to be working with 每日大瓜 County Council and the wider adult community learning partnership in North East Wales to provide Adult Community Learning funded courses. Our provision includes:

  • supporting those taking the first steps into learning
  • providing skills for life and embedding basic skills
  • providing employability and employment courses
  • providing family learning opportunities
  • a range of taster and engagement courses

We will be working with a range of quality training providers to deliver courses and sessions across 每日大瓜 and welcome your ideas on future courses and sessions that meet local people’s needs.
